Boys will be Boys Posted: 14 Dec 2010 03:47 AM PST Now, I always tell my boys, no wrestling in the house. They listen to me. Mostly… I guess I’m going to have to make up house rules for the bird feeder. No fighting at the feeder. See this male Cardinal? He thought he was all that. He decided to go after this sparrow…(I think that’s some kind of sparrowish bird? I’m not very good with my small brown birds.) But the little guy? He held his own! Ha, the male cardinal, the bully, he got put in his place by the sparrow, and sheepishly climbed back to the other side of the feeder. See? You shouldn’t pick on the little guys! The cardinal wasn’t the only bird out there fighting. The cowbird and a red winged black bird went after each other too. Notice the little guy is still hanging in there! The moral of the story?
