Monday Musings for Baby Boomers – At My Age

Posted: 27 Dec 2010 03:20 AM PST

Smile!

Smile!

Monday has always been a little bit of a let down, what with it being the beginning of the work week and all.

So to start things out on a bright note for the week, I bring you the…

Baby Boomers Monday Musings.

Falling Apart

There’s quite an art to falling apart ….
as these years go by.
And life Doesn’t begin at 40 ….
That’s a Big Fat Lie!
My hair’s gettin’ thinner ….
my Body is Not.
The few Teeth I have ….
are beginning to Rot!

I smell of Vick’s-Vapo-Rub ….
Not Chanel #5.
My new Pacemaker’s all ….
that keepin’ me alive!

When asked of my past ….
Every Detail I’ll know.
But what was I doin’ ….
just 10 minutes ago?

Well, you get the Idea ….
what More can I say?
I’m off to read the Obits ….
like I do every Day.

If my name is not there ….
I’ll once again Start -
Perfecting the Art ….
Of Falling Apart!

But til’ That Last Curtain ….
Decides to Fall,
I’m gonna’ have ….
Myself a Ball!

Hope that put a little smile on your face and Keep On Smilin’

This Weeks Good Reads-Week Sixty-nine

Posted: 24 Dec 2010 02:55 AM PST

coffee cupEvery week I come across an article or two that I find very helpful to me as a Baby Boomer and think may be of some interest to you, the community, as well.

They may be from an online news source, another Blog or Website or something I found surfing around the Internet. They could even be something that was sent in by a reader of the Blog or a member of the Baby Boomer’s Forum.

Enjoy!

Baby Boomers Are Bummin’ by Zoe FitzGerald Carter… Is the Pew Research Center report about us  Baby Boomers acurate? If so, we are in a really bad way and should just give up. Zoe thinks the report is a farce, and so do I. What say you?

Spotting Online Scams – Tips for Baby Boomers Online by TMarie Hilton… As a lot of us can attest, Boomers are doing a lot of their buying and banking etc online these days. TMarie gives us a few tips on staying safe in our online world be it shopping or socializing.

I  hope you found this weeks choice(s) helpful and enjoyable. What did you think? Do you have any suggestions for next week?
