Posted: 07 Oct 2010 08:20 AM PDT

I must say, the foliage in my area is not what it usually is. I heard that the weather this summer screwed up the fall foliage. Still, here is a place to get fall foliage information if you want to take a scenic drive over the long Columbus Day weekend. I am planning a day trip right now and I may be picking a destination from this list of the top foliage towns, as selected by Yankee magazine (drum roll):

Kent, Conn.
Bethel, Maine
Manchester, Vermont
Williamstown, Mass.
Middlebury, Vermont
Camden, Maine
Waitsfield, Vermont
Conway/No. Conway, N.H.
Sandwich, N.H.
Rangeley, Maine
Blue Hill, Maine
Woodstock, Vermont
Waterville Valley, N.H.
Amherst, Mass.
East Haddam, Conn.
Walpole, N.H.
Grafton, Vermont
The Cornwalls, Conn.
Litchfield, Conn.
Jackson, N.H.
Jeffersonville, Vermont
Shelburne Falls, Mass.
Montgomery, Vermont
Stowe, Vermont
Hanover, N.H.
