Our Crummy Economy: A Scary Roundup Posted: 30 Sep 2010 08:09 AM PDT I learned a new word recently: prepper. It’s a name for a person who is preparing for the complete and total collapse of the U.S. economy. Some of them have stockpiled emergency food supplies, others have built fallout shelters reminiscent of the kind that were popular in this country at mid-century.
