Repealing Health Care? What are They Thinking?

This week, a commenter on a blog post about the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords made a great point:

  • Many Republicans support gun ownership but are opposed to health care reform. Had the shooter been able to be treated for his mental health issues, would the shooting have even occurred?

Here is some other food for thought:

  • Do the folks behind the repeal attempt realize the implications of what they’re doing?
  • Who coined the term “pre-existing conditions”?
  • Would congressmen and women be willing to give up their health coverage? How about they try to go without coverage and reduce their income by two-thirds? Would they like their children to go without suitable health care?
