Or the faucet in the boys’ bathroom upstairs. That leaks. And needs to be replaced. And my handyman SuperGuy just canNOT get it. The plumbing system in there needs to be redone for the new faucets. But SuperGuy leaves tomorrow to go out of town. So…I’m thinking a fern or ivy in the one leaky sink…and they can use the other sink, right? Or the fact that the youngest Texas Boy is bringing his new girlfriend to town with him. I’ve never met her, but SuperGuy has and says he really likes her. Okay. But I have a room with a twin bed for her to sleep in. I only have twin sheets like um, Ninja Turtles or Mario Brothers. Okay. So I went out and bought pretty new twin sheets. I’ve been meaning to anyway to fix the room up into a cute guest room. Oh, and new pillows and a cute little white coverlet. (because, really, who in their right mind turns me loose in Bed, Bath & Beyond when I’m in a dither??) I hope she’s okay with sharing the one working sink with everyone… I’m obsessively checking the weather forecast. They are forecasting great weather for next Thursday, The Magnificent Rehearsal Dinner. ™ But we know how accurate that is this far out. SuperGuy is headed to Columbia tomorrow, but I’m staying here because we have family coming in starting Thursday night. And The Impish One comes to town Thursday too. But THAT is another whole story for another blog post, bless his heart and his stitched up arm. The thing I’m wondering??? How does anyone survive being the mother of the BRIDE, if it’s like this being the mother of the groom??? Similar Posts: |
…and some of it is silly stuff. Like these pretty flowers. That bloomed now…which means they’ll just be silly looking stalks by the time we have the rehearsal dinner.
