“Glee” Revives Lulu’s Greatest 1960s Hit

I happened to catch Glee last night and heard a really nice rendition of the title song from the 1967 film “To Sir, With Love” starring Sidney Poitier. To my mind, the song is one of the most beautiful ever written, and the original singer, Lulu, performed it fabulously. Lulu is now almost 62 years old. The song “To Sir, With Love” made the Scottish singer/songwriter an international singing star. Here’s a sort-of recent TV interview with Lulu that includes a brief retrospective of her hit songs.
