A Washing Machine That Uses (Almost) No Water

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 10:38 AM PST

Time magazine prints an annual list of inventions that are absolutely amazing, and this year’s list is no exception. Out of the 50 head-spinning ideas, this one grabbed my attention: a washing machine that uses almost no water.  The U.S. uses more then 330 billion gallons of water per year doing laundry. This new machine uses stain-absorbing nylon beads. I guess the beads beat the dirt out of your clothes. This machine will be available next year.
