Memories of a Bygone Era in an Online World Posted: 03 Feb 2011 08:29 AM PST Bingo! I found something online that reminds me a little about my childhood. Online Bingo. There are a lot of really great memories of the family going to the church social hall with friends from the whole neighborhood to play a few cards and win a chunk of change to get a little extra something to share with all our friends and family. When I was a youngster, I remember my school trying to raise some funds for a very worthy charity to benefit the poor, unfortunate waifs in a third world country that we had to look up on a map. They tried Carnivals, Beef & Beers, Dances for the Kids, just about anything that could really draw a crowd large enough to make a difference in the plight of all those poor little folks on the other side of the world. The only thing that seemed to attract enough of the congregation to show up week after week was one thing… Bingo! People seem to enjoy the whole experience of playing the game of Bingo. Whether in a Church Hall or Online, people like the interaction and community feel of a get-together, and still have a chance to win a little somethin' somethin' for a little bit of change. Bingo online is a little bit like the old fashioned game that I remember so well. It reminds me of those good  times of hearing "B-10" and knowing that I only needed one or two more letters in order to win the jackpot. Oh, what a feeling that was… and still is… when I get all the letters in a row to read "BINGO!"
