Posted: 19 Apr 2010 11:31 AM PDT When I first lived in Boston, I couldn’t wait for Boston Marathon day. I would walk over to Copley Square and hang around in a sea of spectators as we waited for the winners to sail over the finish line. Now, that was about 30 years ago, when there weren’t as many spectators. Today you won’t be seeing me at the finish line, or anywhere else along the route. I can’t be bothered. Is that a sign of age? Or a sign that I’ve lived in Boston too long? Whatever it is, I’m not interested. |
