| Polygamy is the Latest Reality Show Topic Posted: 28 Sep 2010 07:02 AM PDT
I was up around 3 a.m. a few nights ago coughing like crazy with a bad cold, so I turned on the TV to pass the time. There wasn’t much on so I ended up watching most of an episode of Sister Wives (TLC). This reality show turns the spotlight on a Utah polygamist and his three — and soon — four wives. I was surprised at how normal the people seemed. Kody Brown is the guy, and the women are Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. There’s also a houseful of kids.The man seems happy-go-lucky (who wouldn’t be in his position?), and the women ranged from perky and friendly to resentful and discontent. I am pretty much ‘live and let live’ except I think this guy is getting his cake and eating it too, while the women are busy chasing kids around, doing housework and either feeling cheated or overworked.
