Remember & Knock Off the Crap!

Posted: 11 Sep 2010 04:01 AM PDT

I thought about writing a little poem for the anniversary of 9/11 but changed my mind with all the bullshit that has been going around this year’s observance.

So, I thought I would just use the same post I used on my Work at Home blog because that’s the way I feel this year.

Remember 9/11 & Stop the Bullshit! By Joe Hauckes | September 11, 2010

Never Forget

Please remember what happened that day

Don't sully the memory of those who died

By politicizing and capitalizing on the dead.

Their sacrifice was to great for this trivial bullshit!

This Weeks Good Reads-Week Fifty-four

Posted: 10 Sep 2010 04:05 AM PDT

coffee cupEvery week I come across an article or two that I find very helpful to me as a Baby Boomer and think may be of some interest to you, the community, as well.

They may be from an online news source, another Blog or Website or something I found surfing around the Internet. They could even be something that was sent in by a reader of the Blog or a member of the Baby Boomer’s Forum.

Enjoy!

Baby Boomers Facing Homelessness And Trend Is Growing by Mary Anne Nagy… When times are tough, things can seem insurmountable. Especially when you lose your home, job and sometimes family, but this  article may just inspire some to take the steps needed to make necessary life altering changes for the better.

Baby Boomers vs. Digital  Natives – Let the Debate… End by Kevin Jones… While some of us oldsters may have moved into the digital age with some trepidation, others of us have jumped in with both feet and landed with our laptops in tact. If there was ever a debate of our acceptance of the computer age, I, for one, must have missed it.

I  hope you found this weeks choice(s) helpful and enjoyable. What did you think? Do you have any suggestions for next week?
