| Going on a Real, Live Bigfoot Hunt Posted: 17 Aug 2011 07:51 AM PDT  I like weird stuff. I am into UFOs, spontaneous combustion, and Bigfoot. If you are a regular reader of this blog — and who isn’t? — you know I’m obsessed with Bigfoot. An organization called the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) has been arranging expeditions to various Bigfoot hotspots around North America for a number of years. I am considering going on one of these. At first I considered the Pennsylvania trip, because it was so close by. But it got sold out. Now I am thinking of either Texas or the Carolinas this fall. These trips basically entail camping out (ugh) for a few nights and setting out in the dark to look and listen for hairy, smelly 8-foot-tall creatures. I’m pretty I will be accompanied by mostly middle-aged guys who wear baseball caps and drive pickup trucks. But I’m intrigued. Anyway, this Bigfoot trip is just in the considering stage.
