This Weeks Good Reads-Week Ninety-five Posted: 01 Jul 2011 03:56 AM PDT
They may be from an online news source, another Blog or Website or something I found surfing around the Internet. They could even be something that was sent in by a reader of the Blog or a member of the Baby Boomer’s Forum. Enjoy! The bell is beginning to toll for baby boomers’ aging music idols by William Douglas… I’m sure you are aware by now that Clarence Clemons died last week, you know, from the E Street Band, Bruce Springstein’s band. What caught my attentionis that it was from a common cause for Boomers deaths; a stroke. Scares me, he wasn’t that much older than I am. The Legacies of Boomer Filmmakers in Visual Gerontology by Dr Caroline Cicero… With films such as Cocoon by Ron Howard of HappyDays Fame and the Bucket List directed by Rob Reiner from All in the Family, these Boomers show distinct aspects of aging in American films. All from the perspective of the Baby Boomer Generation. I hope you found this weeks choice(s) helpful and enjoyable. What did you think? Do you have any suggestions for next week? You may also want to join the Baby Boomers US Forum for conversations by Baby Boomers about topics important to Baby Boomers! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
