| Take This Job and Shove It: Flight Attendant Becomes Working-Man Hero Posted: 10 Aug 2010 07:41 AM PDT A Jet Blue flight attendant named Steve Slater became a hero to working people everywhere with his dramatic Quitting of His Job, which has attracted widespread media attention. In short, near the end of a Pittsburgh-to-JFK (NYC) flight, Slater asked a passenger to sit down. The passenger ignored the request and continued to pull his suitcase from the overhead bin and the suitcase hit Slater in the head. Slater used the intercom to curse out the passenger, then turned, grabbed a beer, activated the emergency slide on the plane, and exited. Slater was soon arrested for violating all kinds of airline-y laws, but people are hailing him everywhere. What’s your take on this event?
