Where, oh, where to vacation?? Help Me! Posted: 14 Jul 2010 03:48 AM PDT So, as you know, SuperGuy and I usually vacation in September. Just the two of us. It’s a slower time of year for him. So…we were going to go to Gulf Shores and rent a house on the beach. Actually, the Fort Morgan Peninsula. Quiet. Out of the way. Yeah, that’s not looking so good, now is it? And SuperGuy couldn’t fish there. What I’m really surprised is that places are still asking top dollar for places there. I don’t get it. So we went to The Outer Banks last year. Liked it, but what I really didn’t like was not being able to see the shoreline. I love to watch the waves crash on the beach. But there are dunes everywhere that block the shoreline. You can’t even see the ocean when you drive along the coast. We couldn’t even see the waves break from the 3rd floor balcony of the house we rented. Oh, we had a great time, it was really reasonable, but now we’re looking for something new. We love to drive. We love sleepy little not much to do places. Right on the beach. Do you have any suggestions? Especially not on the gulf coast. We’re looking into St. Augustine, and some of the South Carolina beaches. Do you have any suggestions?? Of course you do! Help us!
