Whoopie Pies and Other Kids’ Foods are Making a Comeback Posted: 14 Dec 2011 10:31 AM PST When I was a kid, I lived on snack cakes. Hostess, Drake, Tastykake. Every day after school, I ate this stuff. It’s a miracle I ever grew. My favorites included: Tastykake butterscotch krimpets and chocolate juniors Devil dog Fruit pies Today, cupcakes and other snack cake-type delicacies are making a comeback among adults: whoopie pies, for one thing, have taken off. They are the new cupcake.
